Nando Herrera

Nando Herrera

Director of Worship (Germantown Campus)

Nando was born and raised in San Antonio, TX. Though he grew up in a home where Christian values were taught, he did not start to truly serve God until the latter years of high school. Upon graduating high school, he received a calling into full-time ministry; and it was at this same time, Nando realized he had a gift for music and creative arts. Shortly after that, he took a ministry internship opportunity in his hometown at a church of 4,000 working with students and young adults. After completing his internship, he was offered a full-time job at the same church within the same department to oversee creative communications and how it affects the worship experience. After serving in ministry in Texas for five years, Nando sensed a shifting happening in his heart; and in 2012, he found what God was stirring inside: it was Life Church. After accepting a worship position, traveling across the country, and buying a jacket he thinks only Eskimos should wear, Nando has come to love the culture—and even climate—in Germantown where he has been residing since September 2012. He is passionate about seeing people experience worship in a fresh, life-giving way and using creative expression to facilitate an environment for these experiences.
